About the Group

1. Provide an opportunity for SVN members in Louisiana to network and support each other
2. Educate the local communities about professional supervised visitation & SVN
3. Assist local providers with training in supervised visitation and other pertinent topics
4. Collaborate with local judges, attorneys, mental health professionals, and other professional organizations
5. Advocate for adoption of SVN Standards of Practice & Ethical Guidelines into court rules

Tentative Agenda:

1. Exciting time for Louisiana Networking Group members with the 2019 SVN annual conference coming to NOLA in May 2019! Pam Guedry from The Pact Place (who is on the SVN National Board of Directors and is also our conference chair) will update us and get us involved in planning this great training & networking opportunity

2. Yevonne will discuss SVN's Nurturing Parenting Program

3. Advice from members to new programs about how to start up a program

4. Discussion about ethics, training, & service provision

5. Yevonne will share her research about the differences & similarities in Therapeutic Supervised Visitation and Reunification Therapy (suggestion from pervious meeting)

6. Collaborate with training attendance to share costs (i.e. hotel rooms); potential to submit conference proposals for the 2019 SVN conference

7. Updates from the Louisiana Networking Group membership
