Day Day One: SVN Training Institute

On day one, the training Institute is going to offer three “deep dive” sessions:

Policy Development: A unique opportunity to “Unpack” and explore the most commonly debated policies and procedures of supervised visitation, including gift giving, cell phones, food, additional visitors, photo taking, bathroom procedures, and more.

Key Concepts: The faculty for the online Key Concepts training will be facilitating a session that expands on the concepts of Neutrality, Ethics, Safety, Trauma, Intervention, Collaboration and Documentation.

Therapeutic Visitation: The New Standard- With the pending changes to the SVN standards regarding Therapeutic Visitation and other modalities of supervised visitation, this session will explore and discuss the implications for providers, whether of not they actually provide TSV.

 Day Two: SVN Blue Print

When you attend one of our regional sessions, you will join a team of SV Providers and allied professionals who will  discuss changes, adaptations and trends for our field leading to a formally published Position Paper designed to educate and inform courts, communities, and legislators.

The Blueprint Meetings will be one-day networking and brainstorming opportunities with a modest registration fee to cover costs. This NOT a training, we will be facilitating the discussion with the intent to offer a concrete vision and pathway to increasing awareness of the value of supervised visitation.

At this meeting we will also be soliciting feedback from the membership to help inform the strategic planing process scheduled to begin in November. This is your chance to voice your thoughts about the future of your association.

What is a Position Paper?
position paper (sometimes position piece for brief items) is an essay that presents an arguable opinion about an issue – typically that of the author or some specified entity. Position papers are published in academia, in politics, in law and other domains.
