Presenter Information, Requirements & Deadlines

We are honored to welcome you as a presenter for the 2026 SVN Annual Conference in New Orleans. Your expertise, experience, and commitment to strengthening supervised visitation and family access services are what make this conference meaningful and impactful for our community.


Each year, SVN brings together professionals from across the country who are dedicated to promoting safe, child-centered visitation practices and advancing the field through collaboration, education, and shared learning. As a presenter, you play a critical role in that mission. Your knowledge and insight help elevate standards, strengthen programs, and support the professionals who serve families every day.

Hotel Information

The conference hotel is the InterContinental New Orleans at a group rate of $179 per night.

  • Presenters are responsible for making their own hotel reservations; SVN will not be booking rooms on your behalf.

  • SVN will move one night of your stay to the SVN master bill during the event.
  • If you are staying for the full conference, one night will be removed from your final hotel bill.
  • If you are only staying one night, SVN will cover that single night and remove it from your bill.

  • SVN is unable to reimburse any other presenter-related expenses.

Conference Registration for Presenters

As a thank you for sharing your expertise, presenters are eligible for a discounted conference registration rate of $275, which includes access to all conference sessions and scheduled meals.

Airport Information

Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) is 12.4 miles from the InterContinental Hotel

Ride app services pick up passengers outside of Level 1 Baggage Claim on the middle curb (Uber, Lyft and Krewecar). The hotel does not offer shuttle service.

  • When Am I Presenting?

  • Audio/Visual Equipment

    Each workshop room will include a laptop, screen, projector, and speaker for sound, provided by SVN. No additional A/V equipment will be available.


    We will be utizing a speaker/recording device ( Meeting OWL) and require that you utilize our equiptment. 


  • Planning to Show Videos?

    Let's avoid the black screen of death--also know as, "your video won't play!" 


    • Any videos you plan to show must be MP4 files.
    • Embedded links (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) may not work onsite.
    • Simply embedding a link in your slides is not sufficient.

    If you have a video link that needs to be converted to MP4, please send it to me and I will assist you. jennifer@svnworldwide.org

  • Slides & Accessibility

    Please design your slides with accessibility in mind:

    • Use high-contrast color combinations, such as: Dark text (black or navy) on a white or light gray background, White or yellow text on a dark blue or charcoal background
    • Avoid red/green color combinations
    • Use large, readable fonts: Use sans-serif fonts like Arial or Calibri, with a minimum size of 18pt.
    • Keep slides clean and not overly wordy

  • Presentation File Format

    • You must submit your presentation as a PowerPoint (.pptx) file by May 1, 2026. 
    • Please do not rely on online platforms (such as Canva or Google Slides) during your session--Download and send the actual .pptx file.
    • SVN will convert your presentation to PDF for attendees.
    • Any slides or handouts you would like attendees to receive in advance will be made available in the conference app.

  • Speaker Orientation & File Deadline

    When?: May 1 at 11:00 a.m. EST


    All presenters are required to attend a virtual 30 minute speaker orientation. This session will allow us to:


    • Check in with presenters
    • Answer questions
    • Review final logistics
    • Officially kick off the conference!

    A Zoom link will be sent to you closer to the date.


    🚨🚨 All presentation materials are due on May 1 during our kickoff call.🚨🚨


    Submitting your files at that time allows me to:

    • Upload materials to the conference app
    • Convert presentations to PDF for attendees
    • Convert any video links into MP4 files
    • Ensure all technology is fully tested and ready

    Please plan accordingly so we have adequate time to prepare everything for a smooth conference experience.
